What's New at the Virginia Nurses Association?
Roundtable on Nursing Policy, Practice and Education
Wednesday, May 14, 2008
VCU School of Nursing
Research indicates that nurse fatigue results in slowed reaction time, lapses of attention, errors of omission, and diminished problem-solving ability.
The Virginia Nurses Association (VNA) is actively involved in expanding the science in the area of nurse fatigue and its impact on patient safety and is excited to collaborate in a research study being conducted in the Grado Department of Industrial and Systems Engineering at Virginia Tech.
National Nurses Week is celebrated annually from May 6, also known as National Nurses Day, through May 12, the birthday of Florence Nightingale, the founder of modern nursing.
Please join us in this celebration!
